Lúcio
A world famous DJ from a Brazilian favela, Lúcio made it his mission to incite change for the good of his nation and people. If the Overwatch universe is anything like our real world, he was probably told many times to "shut up and sing." This is despite him being a DJ, not a singer.
But he persevered, using his platform to advocate for social change. Then literally using it for change, as he re-configured his DJ equipment into tools to fight omnics, which he does is an energetic, upbeat style.
Like Tracer, Lúcio came to my beloved Heroes of the Storm with an automatic auto-attack and frenetic, always moving energy. At the time, the competitive landscape of the game was hooked. Especially by his Ultimate, which could shield the entire party if they were well-placed. Timed right, that was the key to winning a game time and time again.
So how can we play him in Pathfinder?
Keys to the Character
Sk8 or Die
Lúcio gets around in graceful style using his hard-light "skates". The added speed gives him some added parkour-esque abilities as well.
Hippity Hoppity...
Like Deadmou5 meats Kermit, Lúcio's DJ persona is a frog. His jumpy style embraces the figure. I wonder if he ever jams to The Rainbow Connection?
Fadeaway Jumper
Lúcio supports his team with different songs. Some heal, some increase speed. When he fades between them is the mark of a real DJ.
Amp It Up
The Sonic Amplifier sends targeted waves of sound at enemies. It is a low damage, annoying weapon. But when he amps it up, it sends foes flying.
A lot of times, builds get enabled as Pathfinder 2e continues to expand with new rulebooks, new archetypes and even new items. That is certainly the case here, as Lúcio's most iconic element – his speedy skates – are now in the game naturally as the gadget skates.
Those nifty little numbers, coupled with a pretty straightforward Bard build, brings our hypebeast DJ to the table pretty faithfully.
On the battlefield, Lucio is all about hyping up his allies with a cross-faded set of helpful beats. Some heal, some speed up and some protect. Deciding when to fade each in takes a master DJ.
While those songs are playing, Lucio is darting around the area with a high speed – helped by his gadget skates – finding the right positions to knock enemies away with this Sonic Amplifier (a Hauling Hand Cannon).

Build OVERVIEW
Ancestry
Human - Half Elf
The Half-Elf heritage is the Pop Culture Pathfinder go-to for adding a bit of speed to a build that is known for being agile. The Nimble Elf ancestry feat, right from level 1, helps Lúcio feel like he is speeding away from his allies. And that's before he has his gadget skates.
However, it is the Human ancestry that really gives influence over the build, with Multitalented at level 9. This lets Lúcio gain the Monk Dedication for free, which will let him Wall Run and Ki Rush for even better skating prowess.
Background
Entertainer
A home run background here, meant for "an actor, a dancer, a musician, a street magician" [Ed. Note: does Golarion not have DJs?].
Both of the boosts available, Dex and Cha, are the ones that Lúcio wants anyway. So he'll take them both, along with the free Fascinating Performance skill feat.
Class
Bard - Maestro Muse
Some of the composition cantrips available to bards in Pathfinder 2e feel like they are readying the ability descriptions of Lúcio in Overwatch or Heroes of the Storm directly. It's a great feeling to get so close to the fantasy with so few feats, leaving a lot of options to fine tune.
The Maestro Muse is a must, mainly for the Lingering Composition cantrip. This is the first step toward being able to Crossfade between songs aptly, making the effects of a composition last multiple rounds after Lucio blasts it out.
Plus, the soothe spell that Maestro Muse adds is a nice addition to a healer-focused build.
After Multitalented at level 9, Lúcio focuses a few feats on a Monk Dedication. The main goal here is to get to Advanced Kata for Wall Run – one of the most iconic Lúcio moves there is. As an extra benefit, Ki Rush is added as another focus spell, which adds an incredible speed boost for the skates when needed.
Finally, while a Hand Cannon is the closest stand in for the Sonic Amplifier, it will really be the bard spells that do the heavy lifting here – like Kinetic Ram, Sound Burst or Repulsion.
Skills & General Feats
Performance is important as a bard, but it's Athletics and Athletics that really needs to be prioritize to make Lúcio feel like the non-stop mover and shaker we know him as. He needs to be able to leap, wall jump and
